The Sweet Ride is a art car built at the TheEgg Arts Society as a collaborative project involving over 40+ individuals that helped bring it to life. I was fortunate to be the electrical and lighting team lead, responsible for designing and implementing the the electronics and software that went into powering the LEDs that bring the art car to life at night. Together with dozens of other people we installed 40 backlit resin gummy bears along the edge of the vehicle, glowing signs, and LED strip lighting.

With a massive gummy bear head on the front of the vehicle, the Sweet Ride features six free to use candy machines at the back, filled with Skittles, Reese’s Pieces, and more. Inside the cabin there is a spinning disco ball, a lounge with cushions in the back, and built in cameras so you can see all the blind spots that comes with driving a vehicle adorned with a massive pink gummy bear head on the front!
